Question 1

Are online invitations on digitalinvitations.online free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our basic digital invitations are 100% free. Simply choose a template, add your event details, generate your link, and share it via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. There are no guest limits, hidden charges, or accounts required. Premium extras (like RSVPs, maps, or AI artwork) are available for a small one-off fee, either individually or as a bundle.

Question 2

How long does it take to create an online invitation?

Accepted Answer

Just 2 to 3 minutes on average. Choose a template that matches your occasion (wedding, First Communion, birthday, christening, or housewarming), enter your event details, add optional features like a countdown or RSVP tracker, and you're good to go. You'll instantly get a link to share via any messaging app.

Question 3

Which types of online invitation are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer digital templates for over 65 event types, including weddings, First Communions, christenings, milestone birthdays, baby showers, gender reveals, hen parties, stag dos, housewarmings, and corporate events. If your celebration is unique, our versatile, universal designs work beautifully for any occasion.

Question 4

How does online RSVP (confirming guest attendance) work?

Accepted Answer

Our RSVP feature allows guests to confirm their attendance with a single tap directly from the invitation, no tedious phone calls or messy spreadsheets required. You can track who is attending, who has declined, and who hasn't replied in real time. It eliminates event no-shows and catering surprises, automatically updating your organiser dashboard.

Question 5

Are online invitations the done thing? What about guests who prefer paper?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Digital invitations are now completely mainstream and widely embraced for all major events. For grandparents or anyone without a smartphone, you can easily print a clean copy from the link. Everyone else (friends, family, colleagues) will love the convenience of an elegant link featuring a countdown, interactive map, and instant RSVP, which is far more practical than a paper card.

Question 6

How do I share the invitation with my guests?

Accepted Answer

Once your invitation is ready, you'll get a unique link and a QR code. You can share these instantly via WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS, email, or social media. Guests can open the link on any smartphone, tablet, or computer without installing an app or registering. The invitation opens with a beautiful envelope animation before displaying your event details.

Question 7

Are my data and my guests' data safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes, completely. We respect your privacy and don't collect guest data: they never need to provide email addresses, phone numbers, or create accounts. Your data as the organiser is fully encrypted using AES-256-GCM in strict compliance with GDPR. We never sell data or send spam, and your invitation is automatically deleted from our database 30 days after the event.

Question 8

Can I edit the invitation after generating the link?

Accepted Answer

To maximise your privacy, we don't require you to create an account, which means once a link is generated, it cannot be edited. If you spot a typo or your plans change, simply create a new invitation (it only takes 2 minutes) and share the new link. We highly recommend reviewing all details carefully before generating the final link.

Question 9

Do online invitations work on every phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every single template is built with a mobile-first design. Your invitation will look beautiful and function perfectly on any smartphone (iPhone or Android), tablet, or computer. It is optimised for all major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) and runs flawlessly on both newer models and older devices.
